This weekend, many of our local teams converged on Catholic Memorial High School to participate in the Foley Memorial tournament. The event is a series of friendly 7s and 10s matches and a champion is not named.
Notably, the new Green Bay Banshees were on debut and played 3 matches. We hope to see more of the Banshees through the coming weeks and seasons. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Insta!
Garret Fischer of the Midwest Thunderbirds attended all day, as did Adrian College (Michigan) Varsity Women’s head coach John Gulden.
Self-reported match results from the event can be found below.

Following the tournament, Catholic Memorial hosted DSHA in a non-league friendly 15s match. Both sides put on a defensive clinic all match with the visitors eking out a narrow 7-0 victory.
This foot-in-touch tackle by DSHA was enough to deny the hosts a try and a chance to level the score:

All-star tryouts
Catholic Memorial High School was busy again on Sunday with the Wisconsin All Star tryouts. The young women who participated worked hard and represented their teams well.
The All Stars will be taking two teams to the Midwest Challenge in Elkhart Indiana on June 19th. If you could not make the tryout but would still like to participate, please complete the sign-up form and contact Coach Noe as described here.
