2022 WGR League Awards

Team Sportsmanship Award

MadTown Furies for demonstrating the values of the Rugby Community. They are gracious hosts and guests, even going as far as to setup and tear down the field as a visiting team. Throughout the 2022 Fall Season, they displayed passion, fellowship, and respect. They are a relatively young team with many new players coming out this fall, but what they lack in size they make up for in heart!

Spirit of the Game Award

Nina Rouse for consistently offering to help the league however she can. When the league was looking for help with printing the state booklets, she replied right away that she could assist. She has also offered to host multiple events at little to no cost due to her connections with the school. Nina has also offered skills camps that have been opened up to anyone in the league to attend. Additionally, she has offered support for clubs who need connections to other Athletic Directors around the state in an effort to keep club recruiting numbers consistent.
